Background

David is a clinical psychologist and a registered full member of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology. He holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from HELP University, Malaysia, and a PhD in Psychology from Nottingham Trent University, UK. He has experience in assessing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum and psychotic disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and borderline personality disorder. He has particular expertise in treating addictive disorders, with extensive experience working with individuals experiencing substance and behavioural addictions in both residential and outpatient settings.

In addition to his clinical work, David actively conducts and publishes scientific research on addiction. His research focuses on the assessment and treatment of behavioural addictions, particularly compulsive sexual behaviour and problematic pornography use.
